SWEDISH ARMED FORCES VISIT

DRASS welcomed representatives from the Swedish Armed Forces’ 1st Submarine Flotilla this week: Perhenrik Swärd, Dive System Engineer, DSV HMS Belos, and Niclas Larsson, Senior Consultant – Diving and Submarine Rescue Operations.

The visit provided an opportunity to explore DRASS capabilities, with particular interest in our saturation diving systems, both the vessel-integrated i100 Series and transportable solutions, alongside our submarine rescue technologies.

The DRASS visit preceded the delegation’s visit to Genova to tour Olterra, the Italian Navy’s state-of-the-art Special and Diving Operations – Submarine Rescue Ship (SDO-SuRS) currently under construction.

DRASS is supplying the i100 Series Saturation Diving System, designed to support saturation diving operations to 300 msw, with diving bell launch and recovery via moon pool. Olterra will also incorporate the DRASS S.A.V.E.R. submarine rescue system, certified to 600 msw, for submarine rescue operations and recently commissioned to the Navy.

Discussions also explored potential opportunities for collaboration between the Swedish Armed Forces and DRASS.
We thank our guests for the valuable exchange and look forward to continuing the conversation.
