The Italian Navy’s much-anticipated Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium in Venice provided the stage for SAVER’s first major public showcase to an international naval audience of nearly 1,000 attendees, presenting its game-changing approach to submarine rescue.
Now in service with the Italian Navy, the DRASS SAVER Submarine Rescue Solution brings together the critical stages of submarine rescue in one integrated, modular capability:
- Certified to 600 msw, SAVER can ventilate a distressed submarine (DISSUB) at depth, providing atmospheric regeneration, heating, and a data link to support the crew while rescue operations are prepared.
- Up to 96 hours of life support, sustaining rescued personnel throughout the critical recovery phase to the surface.
- Personnel capacity of up to 25 per deployment, supporting the transfer of DISSUB crew to the surface and into the life-support environment of Deck Decompression Chambers (DDCs)
- Rapid mobilisation by land, sea or air: Modular containerised equipment—including independent power generation. Also deployable aboard a suitable Vessel of Opportunity in the closest proximity.
From intervention at depth to the safe recovery and ongoing life support of submariners, SAVER delivers an integrated chain of survival designed for the demands of real-world rescue operations.
Saving Time. Saving Lives. SAVER.
