With a commercial diving workforce numbering in the hundreds, Belov knows commercial diving.

Marcello SantAnna, BELOV’s Operations Coordinator shares an update on D-ONE in operation: “Currently, BELOV is using DRASS helmets across five diving fronts: on four Petrobras projects — P-31, P-52, P-78 and P-79 — and another with PRIO at Peregrino Bravo. All diving operations have been smooth, with no abnormalities related to the use of the helmets.

Feedback from the divers has also been very positive, particularly regarding the helmet’s design, which provides greater ease and comfort during manoeuvres over the head.

This design characteristic has proved an important differentiator during operations, considering how frequently this type of activity is performed across our different diving fronts.

The experience accumulated so far demonstrates good acceptance of the helmet by our dive teams, both in terms of operational safety and ergonomics, as well as ease of performing activities, particularly those involving overhead work.”
