D-ONE stress test campaign

D-One Drass Helmet has successfully completed a test campaign specifically prepared by Drass team experts.

The Helmet has been subjected to a series of "stress tests" to verify capacity, resistance and ergonomics, as required by the EN 15333 standard. The result obtained highlighted the high standards achieved in safety and comfort, not to mention an array of ergonomic features including minimized neck fatigue and inhalation effort to the fullest extent, and the provision of an optimized field of vision for increased range and usage practicality.

DRASS at Livorno townhall

DRASS had the pleasure of being hosted by the Mayor of Livorno, Mr. Luca Salvetti, at Livorno townhall. During the visit, DRASS personnel presented the D-ONE Diving Helmet that was selected at national level to showcase the best of Italian technological innovation and design at the G20 Summit in Rome.

The visit was an opportunity to praise DRASS for this outstanding achievement and personally meet DRASS engineers who, with their high-level expertise, collectively contributed to the creation of this cutting-edge product that offers an array of innovative safety and tracking features including full modularity for varying diving environments by means of interchangeable Air, Reclaim and Rebreather pods, plus an ergonomic design with enhanced protection and comfort that is second to none.

During the visit, DRASS also presented the Diving Compact BIBS mask that was on display in the Italian Pavilion at EXPO2020 Dubai.

D-ONE has officially been tested and initialy approved by the Romanian Navy representative. Commanding Officer of the Hyperbaric Laboratory from the Navy Diving Centre, Commander Munteanu, together with his surface team,  engineers Emil Avram and Daniel Stoenciu,  took the oportunity to test the D-ONE as part of a serial FATs performed by DRASS in Livorno, Italy.
D-ONE will be integrated in the Hyperbaric Diving Simulator Project that is to be delivered to the Romanian Navy within the second quarter of 2022.

The originality of D-ONE helmet lies in its modularity that allows the same shell to be used in varying dive environments as necessary thanks to interchangeable pods: Standard Pod for air diving, Reclaim Pod for air diving in contaminated waters and optional Rebreather/Reclaim Pod, in compliance with the most stringent diving regulations.

DRASS at ADI Design Index 2020-2021

DRASS was thoroughly honoured to be selected to be a part of the ADI Design Index 2020-2021, the annual exhibition that has championed the best of Italian design since 1956. Each year ADI (Association for Industrial Design) identifies the best Italian design in production, selected by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory. This year the prestigious show was organized in two events in Milan (from 3 to 20 June) and in Rome (from 28 June to 2 July).

DRASS has had the opportunity to showcase its state-of-the-art D-ONE DIVING HELMET. Tested for air use up to a depth of 50 msw, the originality of D-ONE helmet lies in its modularity that allows the same shell to be used in varying dive environments as necessary thanks to interchangeable pods: Standard Pod for air diving, Reclaim Pod for air diving in contaminated waters and optional Rebreather/Reclaim Pod.
All designers on the shortlist have the possibility of being awarded the esteemed ‘Compasso d'Oro ADI’ (ADI Gold Compass) award to be held at the 2022 ADI awards ceremony. Until then, we share a few photos and videos from the two events.

DRASS was one of the conference's designated speakers at the ADIPEC Exhibition in Abu Dhabi during 11-14 November 2019.
