The JANA 201 Saturation Diving Support Vessel program has reached another important milestone.

As construction progresses, Jana Marine Service Company has further expanded its collaboration with DRASS by selecting the DRASS Outer Area Communication System for installation on board JANA 201.

Built on the same fully redundant digital matrix as the already selected DRASS KOMMS Saturation Communication System, the Outer Area Communication System enables seamless communications between saturation and air diving teams, supervisors, bridge personnel, crane operators and technical staff across the vessel.

Together with the DRASS i100 Series 12-man Saturation Diving System—comprising a fully automated single-bell saturation system and a three-diver air/nitrox surface diving spread—the communications systems form an integrated operational architecture for JANA 201.

DRASS KOMMS Outer Area Communication System delivers:

✅ Integrated communications between inner and outer operational areas;
✅ Flexible communication groups to support complex offshore operations;
✅ Indoor and outdoor communication stations equipped with ambient microphone, speaker, headset, and acoustic and visual call alarms for reliable operation even in demanding environments;
✅ A scalable, highly configurable platform that simplifies operations while reducing maintenance requirements.

This integrated architecture strengthens operational coordination, communication reliability, and vessel-wide connectivity, supporting safe and efficient diving operations in demanding offshore environments.

The expanded scope reflects JANA Marine Service’s continued confidence in DRASS technology and reinforces our contribution to the development of this advanced new-generation Saturation Diving Support Vessel.
