The Self-Propelled Hyperbaric Lifeboat (SPHL) for the new DP2 hybrid Diving Support Vessel of Jana Marine Service Company LLC. has completed Factory Acceptance Testing and Sea Acceptance Testing in Cape Town, South Africa! The SAT activities took place in the waters just off the Cape Town waterfront, providing a striking backdrop to an important milestone for the JANA project. Coupled with the DRASS i100 Series 12-man Saturation Diving System, the SPHL—supplied by Unique Group—provides safe transfer and evacuation under pressure for divers in saturation, in the event of a vessel emergency. Andrea Colazzo, Service & Testing Manager, represented DRASS on-site. working alongside the Unique Group team throughout the testing campaign. American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) surveyors were also present as part of the project’s classification process. The successful completion of FAT and SAT was made possible by the long-standing collaboration between our teams and a shared commitment to excellence. DRASS thanks Unique Group, ABS, and the entire project team for their support throughout this key phase.
