In Livorno this week, the Naval Academy hosted the 9th workshop “Ugo Tiberio” attended by the Chief of Italian Navy Admiral Enrico Credendino, other high ranking Navy officers, and representatives of the main defence corporations.
This workshop hosts a ceremony awarding scholarships to young technical officers of innovative studies, and also includes a full programme of discourses delivered by specialized companies in the field of underwater unmanned systems, artificial intelligence, rockets and space technology. Topics were presented by field experts, introduced by the Director of Naval Armaments of the Italian Navy Admiral Giuseppe Abbamonte.
In the Underwater Domain symposium, Sergio Cappelletti of DRASS presented a white paper on future sonar and drone open architecture (SDOA), and advanced seabed resident equipment.
