Last week, DRASS joined the IDSA International Diving Schools Association (IDSA) Annual Meeting and Working Groups in Antwerp, held across four days and hosted by SAB Diving, our regional D-ONE distributor, bringing together commercial diving training organisations and industry professionals from across Europe and beyond. Representing DRASS, Alessia Stefanini and Pietro Fronteddu showcased the D-ONE, today’s most advanced commercial diving helmet. During live in-water demonstrations, divers had the opportunity to experience D-ONE in the standard air-diving configuration as well as the contaminated-water diving configuration, equipped with the D-ONE gas exhaust panel. These demonstrations highlighted D-ONE’s ergonomics and versatility in action, sparking valuable discussions and strong interest. A sincere thank you to Jo Luyten for the excellent organisation and hospitality, and to our IDSA fellow members — including Leo Lagarde of The Netherlands Diving Centre Certifying Institute, Lars William Wroldsen of NYD Subsea Training Centre, Robbert de Bie, Kentain Bailey of Jacks Dive Chest Commercial Dive Academy, Robert Venema of Netherlands Diving Centre, Yrgo Scandinavian Ocean Minerals, Jan Vandenbosch of SAB Diving, and Hossam A. El-Masry of Middle East for Commercial Diving MECD for the engaging conversations and their unwavering commitment to advancing professional diving. We’re thrilled to be on this journey together, shaping a safer, smarter reality for our commercial divers.
