This year’s the Livorno Don Bosco-Drass Basketball Sports Scholarships ceremony took place at Livorno City Hall.

Luca Banchi, head coach of the Italian National Basketball Team —who began his coaching career in the Don Bosco red-and-blue jersey—awarded the Drass sports bags plus Drass scholarships to six outstanding achievers in study and sport—a hugely memorable moment for these starstruck youngsters.

To cheer them on were friends and family alongside Livorno Mayor Luca Salvetti, Deputy Mayor Libera Camici, Vice President of the Province Eleonora Agostinelli, CONI Delegate Gianni Giannone, Don Bosco Director Marco Andromedi, and Drass’ Gianni Donolo.

Big congratulations goes to deserving athletes Tommaso Menicagli (Under 13s), Filippo Cerretini (Under 14s), Edoardo Falchi (Under 15s), Federico Yu (Under 15), Filippo Massei (Under 17s), and Mattia Tognoni (Under 17s).
