Congratulations to Junior Officer Giampiero Marongiu on graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Engineering from the University of Naples Federico II, in collaboration with Italy’s Naval Academy!

Giampiero’s thesis, “Analysis of the Effect of an Underwater Explosion on the DS8 Vessel”, presented an in-depth structural study of Drass’ DS8 Swimmer Delivery Vehicle. On-site assessment and computational analysis of the DS8 craft concluded that, thanks in part to its innovative architecture, the DS8 is capable of withstanding the stresses of underwater explosions in its operational context, underscoring its resilience in demanding scenarios.
