ROMANIAN NAVY SIMULATOR PROJECT

ROMANIAN NAVY SIMULATOR PROJECT

DRASS Romania is the main contractor for the new deep diving simulator of the Romanian Navy to be installed at the Romanian Navy Diving Centre, military unit located in Constanta, Romania. The contract was signed at the beginning of this year and will be completed within March 2022.
This project replaces the previous diving simulator and continues the tradition of the Romanian Navy as an experienced and competent party in the training, research and operation of saturation diving. The new large simulator vessel (3500mm diameter) will be connected with 2 hyperbaric chambers (4-man and 6-man capacities) and compatible through a STANAG flange adaptor with the standalone portable OVETTO hyperbaric chamber. The OVETTO is the evacuation chamber for emergency situations.
The complete simulator system comes with an automatic PLC control system, communication system, ECU units, generators and compressors, and all the necessary gas storage, in order to assure deep dive training and also provide support in case of diving emergency in the Black Sea.
